Our History

CEP Sales is a manufacturer’s representative firm that specializes in custom engineered products. Our company has been a family-owned and operated business for over 40 years.

Our company specializes in all types of custom metal parts - including castings, forgings, springs, and machined components, as well as a full line of industrial product identification and membrane switches. Our goal is to help customers find the optimal manufacturing process and supplier for their custom engineered parts.

1981

1984

Wayne & Barbara Kroemer founded Custom Engineered Parts, Inc. in Zionsville, Indiana, a small suburb in Indianapolis.

1982

Wayne’s oldest son Bill Kroemer joined the firm and helped expand the business into Ohio.

Darcey Elmore, Wayne’s son-in-law, joined the firm and helped expand the business into Ohio and Tennessee.

1991

Kurt Kroemer, Wayne’s other son, joins Custom Engineered Parts, Inc.

1994- 1995

The company expands again as Wayne begin eyeing retirement, adding his son-in-law, Gary Coval. Wayne sold the business to his sons and sons-in-law and CEP Sales, Inc. was born.

The partners began preparations to take CEP Sales into the future with a 3rd generation of salesmen. This is where Case Roberts replaces Bill Kroemer.

2019

2015

Cory Hernandez joins, one of Kurt Kroemer’s son-in-law

2023

Abby Heneisen joins, who starts developing and rebranding CEP Sales, Inc’s marketing & design components.

2000

Wayne’s daughters, Ellen Coval & Anne Elmore, took over administrative duties. The four partners grew the business into a multi-million dollar sales firm.  The customer base expanded as well, with customers in 27 different US States along with sales into 5 other countries.

2017

Bruno Cosentino & Gary Covals son-in-law, Josh Valentine, replace Darcey Elmore.

2020

Zach Schroeder joins, another one of Kurt Kroemer’s other son-in-law.
